We need your help. The White Bluffs Board is working to provide classes, exhibits, resources and
an efficient Center Structure for you, our members. Read the descriptions of the various task groups
and check those committees that are of interest to you. Each Committee will have a Chair and
Co-Chair. Please list your preferences as 1, 2, 3. Return this form to the Center via mail, email or
drop in and visit with us.
_____ Publicity - Chair, Sue Pinard , writes press releases and insures our activities receive
recognition.
_____ Exhibits - This group arranges the “gallery redos” and creates the themes for the Center.
Sue Pinard, Marcia Keefer, Mary Thomas and Estelle Jackson make our monthly exhibits
“happen”.
_____ Newsletter - Editor, Cindy Underwood could use a co-editor. The Newsletter is published
every month to keep you informed of all activities. We mail our newsletter to our members
that do not have email.
_____ History - Kathy Petty is the chair of this committee. She is creating a scrapbook of White
Bluff activities.
_____ Education, Summer Children’s Program - This program is always a lot of fun. We need a
chair and co-chair for 2010. Teaching or assisting with the classes is rewarding. Establish
a schedule of classes & enrollment.
_____ Education, Adult Classes - Many of our members are interested in teaching and the chair
and co-chair will schedule classes and work with the Publicity Committee to insure publicity.
_____ Community Service - Chair, Kathy Petty and co-chair, Marlene Martin are currently working
on quilts for our vets and throws for the Women’s Crisis Center. Working with this group is
rewarding and fun.
_____ Library and Web Site - Chair, Jenny Treadway. A co-chair will help in checking books in/out.
Our library software is very user-friendly and training is provided. Jenny also chairs the Web
Site and updates.
_____ Volunteer Committee - This group will check to make sure that the Center has a volunteer for
each day that we are open and send out notices if needed. A call list of “emergency volunteers”
will be helpful.
_____ Membership - Pam Powell is membership chair, and maintains the data base of members.
A co-chair will assist in mailing out packets to new members.
Friendship/Study Groups are maintained by Laural Sutton.
_____ Building Maintenance - This group helps keep our space clean. Setting up a task schedule will
insure that we all share in this responsibility. Maintenance could be accomplished after hours
(if you work).
_____ Show & Sale - This group organizes our Annual Sale. The process has been streamlined.
This could be the most fun you have all year. This group will also assess outside activities for
participation (Fairs, etc).
_____ Raffle - Establishing a schedule for our annual raffle and selling raffle tickets is a fun job as well.
_____ Building Fundraising, Economic Development, Grant Writing - Chaired by May Hays and Jenny
Treadway and is responsible for our building funding. If you have expertise in any of these areas,
we need your help.
_____ Finance, Budget, Strategic Planning - Marcia Keefer, chair, assistance and experience is welcome.
