The White Bluffs Regional Center for Quilting & Fiber Arts is both a museum and a support organization for all the quilting, weaving, spinning and basketry guilds and groups located in Eastern Washington State. These groups have been a part of our community for over 40 years and until now -- had no place to call home. We currently represent over 1,000 fiber artists in Eastern Washington and we are growing.

The Center is located on West Van Giesen in West Richland, WA, thanks to the generosity of the Benton County Commissioners. This temporary location provides space for classes, meetings and a small area dedicated to our museum, gallery and member textile market. Our Summer Childrens Program, and all adult classes are held at this facility.

The White Bluffs goal is to build a permanent facility. Our mission is to promote and celebrate the art and craft of quilting and textile arts through educational opportunities for children and adults; to preserve the history of textile arts as uniquely American art forms; and to enhance the community by providing a welcoming place where people can share their knowledge and heritage through their love of quilting, weaving, spinning, basketry and textile arts.

Community Economic development as a result of well advertised textile exhibits and classes is an important part of our mission. Increased traffic and thousands of new visitors has already had a measurable impact on the merchants in this area. Our workshops bring in visitors from a 200 mile radius and we regularly provide lists of area hotels.

Special programs are available for tour groups and
visiting organizations.

The White Bluffs Center permanent facility will include gallery space, classrooms for weaving, spinning and quilting, a textile market, a library, archival storage for the museum collection and meeting areas. The gallery will house rotating exhibits featuring quilts, textiles, basketry, weaving and all types of fiber arts, and be available for community meetings, guild meetings, and other activities.

The White Bluffs Center is a member of the Washington Museum Association, the West Richland Chamber of Commerce and the Tri-Cities Visitors and Convention Bureau.
