Tri City Quilters' Guild
The
Tri-City Quilters' Guild is a nonprofit organization chartered in 1982, dedicated to promoting quilting through programs at monthly meetings, workshops, quilt retreats and our annual quilt show. We currently are 390 members strong. We have a very active Community Service Committee and many of our members give back to the community by making and donating quilts to hospitals, clinics and Habitat for Humanity. Twice a year (April and October), our monthly program at both night and day meetings is a Community Service Workshop, where we work on quilts in various stages of completion. Members have donated their time and service to schools, charities and individuals in need. Please visit our website for further information and activities.

South Eastern Washington Quilters (Sew-Q)
South Eastern Washington Quilters (SEW-Q) is focused on expanding the art of quilting through fellowship, encouragement of creativity and promotion of self-esteem of SEW-Q members. We strive to create community awareness of quilts and quilt related articles through the presentation of history, design and past, current and future construction techniques. Through these efforts we will strive to make a difference in the lives we touch.
SEW-Q is committed to community service on a local and global level. We have an annual quilt show and auction which funds a yearly donation to Hospice at The Chaplaincy located in Kennewick, WA. In addition we make hospital gowns and bibs for use in their in-home Hospice program and Hospice House. We donated 10 twin size quilts to Hospice House in 2008. Each year SEW-Q makes handmade quilted Christmas decorations for a tree at Hospice House. The decorations are auctioned off the following year with the proceeds going to Hospice House. We also make and donate baby quilts, lap quilts, wheelchair quilts to a number of local charities and nursing homes. We have also sent pillows to soldiers in Iraq and made and donated 24 bed-size quilts to the survivors of Hurricane Katrina. As a group SEW-Q is dedicated to reaching out to others through our collective love of quilting. Visit our web site at

Monthly General Meetings for all members are held on the third Thursday of each month September through May in the Tri-Cities.
About half of the meetings are scheduled in the evening and half during the day. All general meetings are open to the public. Members are encouraged to join a Study Group. These are special interest groups that focus on a particular technique or on a chosen project. Please check out our web site for more information.
