 This year, classes  are available in machine and hand sewing, basketry, crochet, felting, flower pounding, knitting, kumihimo and spinning.

Spinning

 

Beginning Drop Spindle

Make yarn with this portable technique.

Beginner Hand Sewing

Learn to stitch basic sewing and embroidery designs & develop the manual dexterity for more advanced hand sewing.

Create a sampler.

Beginner Machine Sewing

Learn the basics of safe machine operation

and make a simple project to take home.

This bag will hold a lot of fun "stuff".

Nine-patch Place Mat

Using antique hand crank sewing machines.

Take a trip back in history and sew as our pioneers did on these wonderful hand crank

machines. Create a place mat utilizing the

classic 9-patch quilt pattern.

Neck Wrap - Tube Cooler

Sew a Neck Cooler that, when wet will stay cool for hours.

This little reusable lunch bag is made from

durable oilcloth and will last through many 

fun lunches. Washable.

Sew a  beautiful dragon fly quilt block

Beaded Embroidery Zipper bag

Learn basic embroidery stitches and

combine with fancy beads to create

this beaded zipper bag.

Learn to sew a tee shirt. This class requires some knowledge of sewing with a machine.

Choose your color and make it to fit your phone or ipod.

Felted Beads and Buttons

Make enough to make a necklace

or to embellish a bag.

Make a small felted form to

stuff and embellish.

Flower Pounding

 

Fabric Squares

Hammer flowers onto fabric to "paint" a pattern. Create a focal fabric for a wall hanging, purse, or pillow.

Ages 12-14, Thursday, July 16, 10:00a-Noon.

$10, plus supply list: small hammer, variety of colored flowers & folliage to share, old wooden cutting board, old towel to put under it, waxed paper, permanent fine-line marker.

Beginning Knitting

Knit a square to make a bag, or toy.
